Re-announce of the Calls for proposals under Programme Component 3 of the SM02-RES "Research Programme in Hungary"

The National Research, Development, and Innovation Office (NRDIO), as the Programme Operator for the “Research and Innovation” thematic area of the Swiss-Hungarian Cooperation Programme II, is publishing the calls for proposals SM02-RES-PC3-B and SM02-RES-PC3-C, titled “Support for Cooperation in Research Infrastructures,” for the purpose of selecting beneficiaries.

Based on the results of the 2025 call for proposals (with a submission deadline of October 15, 2025), under which no projects received funding in Subprogram “B,” this call is specifically announced for the “Social and Cultural Innovation” research community, with a revised allocation of budgetary resources.

In 2026, calls for proposals will be reopened for the following subprograms:

1) The objective of Subprogram “B” is to strengthen RDI cooperation with international/Swiss researchers through the involvement of research infrastructures (RIs). A further objective is to increase Hungarian participation in major international research infrastructure networks and to boost Hungarian scientific research by ensuring access to high-quality services and data. All of this contributes to strengthening the integration of Hungarian researchers into international networks and to supporting multidisciplinary scientific collaborations.

We would like to draw applicants’ attention to the fact that in this call for proposals (2026), applications are accepted exclusively under Subprogram “B,” in the scientific field of “Social and Cultural Innovation.”

2) The objective of Subprogram “C” is to strengthen RDI cooperation with international/Swiss researchers through the involvement of research infrastructures (RIs). Another key objective is to increase Hungarian participation and integration into international research infrastructure networks, as well as to promote multidisciplinary scientific research collaborations and Hungarian-Swiss scientific relations.
