The "Training and Communication" component of the Hospice programme kicked off with a high-quality event
On October 29, 2025, the National Directorate General for Hospitals presented the "Training and Communication" programme component of the Hospice Palliative Care Programme of the Swiss Fund to relevant healthcare professionals at a professional event. Alexander Renggli, Swiss Ambassador to Hungary, also gave a welcoming speech at the event.
At the one-day conference, participants learned about the Swiss Fund, the current situation of end-of-life hospice palliative care, and planned developments. The presentations covered various aspects and achievements of hospice and palliative care, including existing care units, the family doctor system and mobile teams, international experiences, and the role of communication toward society.
The PC5 "Training and Communication" component is being implemented by the National Directorate General for Hospitals, with a budget of approximately HUF 364 million, which will be used to hold professional events and training programmes. The entire programme received approximately HUF 3.8 billion in funding, thanks to the Swiss Confederation and the Hungarian Government.
